Fr. William Miller and the Parishioners of St. Joseph Parish invite you to our
70th Annual 4th of July Celebration to be held
Saturday, July 4, 2009 from 11 am - 4 pm on the Parish Grounds, Rt. 66, Lucinda PA.
This once-a-year event will be held rain or shine (canopy covered) and features
Dinner, Quilts, Games, Live Entertainment -- over $35,000 in Cash & Prizes!
Festival proceeds benefit St. Joseph Catholic School.
Please note that the Saturday evening liturgy on July 4th will be at 7 PM instead of 5 PM.Our Traditional "all-you-can-eat"
Chicken & Ham Dinners
Nearly 2,000 dinners served each year
400 hundred pounds of flour and 144 dozen eggs are combined to create our
FAMOUS HOMEMADE NOODLES for the soup that is the hallmark feature of our delicious
Chicken & Ham Dinners.• Served family-style, “all-you-can-eat”
• In addition to the main entrée and homemade noodle soup, the menu includes:
real mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, coleslaw, bread, and beverage with homemade pie for dessert.
• Served in our Social Hall from 11 AM – 3 PM with ticket sales beginning at 10 AMAdults $7.50, Children 6-12 $3.50, Children under 6 Free
Dining room dinners are sold on the “call-by-number” system.
TIP: Purchase your dinner ticket as soon as you enter the grounds.Take-out dinners are also available for eating on the grounds at picnic tables or to take home.
Take-outs will be available 11 AM – 2 PM.
Purchase your take-out tickets directly at the take-out window at the school.
QUILTS

The festival features
many games and booths, including our quilt booth with a minimum of 2
dozen HANDMADE
QUILTS TO BE AWARDED.
Each quilt holds an estimated value of between $650 and $900. Handcrafted by the women of St. Joseph’s, patrons surround
the tent for their chance to win one of these beautiful hand-stitched pieces.
Bingo begins at
12 Noon in the downstairs of the Hall. Other games and booths include a Chinese
Auction, Sportsman's Booth, Country Store, children’s features and many
more.
Musicians
will provide live entertainment beginning at Noon and continuing into the
afternoon hours.
Refreshments (burgers, soda pop, etc.) are served on the grounds all afternoon. In addition, the children’s playground is adjacent to the festivities.

The cash and prizes awarded throughout the day total more than $35,000,
including our Grand Prize Ticket which features 14 major awards!
